Calling all fashion fanatics and pop culture lovers, May 6, 2024 marks this year’s Met Gala. And no matter where you are in the world, you won’t want to miss it.
Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Met is known as “fashion’s biggest night.” Luckily, the red carpet is being streamed live for those of us who weren’t lucky enough to be invited so we can feel like we’re a part of this historic event.
Where else would you see Jared Leto dressed as a giant cat or Zendaya transform into a real-life Cinderella? Good answer, nowhere, only at the Met Gala.
Of course, the US-based event will be broadcast on US TV channel E! but for those of us, across the pond, how can we watch? Here are all the ways you can watch the 2024 Met Gala.

Can you watch the Met Gala on TV?
Yes, if you’re in America, the Met will be broadcast on E! but unfortunately for UK viewers it will not be shown on any of our channels. But don’t threaten, there are other ways to connect!
how to watch the Met Gala live?
Vogue will broadcast the event live on its website and social networks, for example. Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. So there are plenty of ways to consume all your favorite celebrities on the red carpet.
The live stream is hosted by actress Gwendoline Christie, actor and producer La La Anthony, model Ashley Graham and content creator and businesswoman Emma Chamberlain. Emma is Vogue’s “special correspondent” on the red carpet, so she will get a first look at the stars and interview them on the red carpet.

What time is the Met Gala 2024 in the UK?
The Met starts at 6:00 p.m. EST/3:00 p.m. PST, which means it will start at 11:00 p.m. BST. So, UK fashion fans, you’ll have to stay awake so you don’t miss a thing!
How long is the Met Gala?
The Met is scheduled to run from 6pm to 8pm EST, so for UK viewers it will be around 1am when the event ends.
